CONTROLLER 

Montreal (QC) Canada ׀ Full-time ׀ Hybrid Mode (60% in the office)

We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Controller to join our finance team and help build a strong financial foundation for our growth. 

The Role 

We are looking for a Controller who is eager to play a strategic role in shaping and developing the financial function of a fast-growing technology company. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of accounting operations, the reliability of financial statements, and the optimization of financial processes. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, they will actively contribute to strategic decision-making by providing insightful financial analyses and supporting effective resource management. This position is ideal for a dynamic professional driven by innovation and looking to thrive in a stimulating environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. 

• Maintain ensure accurate journal entries. 

• Monitor cash flow. 

• implement and maintain internal controls and compliance procedures. 

• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors. 

• Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making. 

• Help implement and improve financial systems and processes. 

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. 

• CPA designation or in progress 

• 3–5 years of experience in a supervisor role in accounting or finance (startup experience, a plus). 

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS, ASPE or US GAAP). 

• Experience in cost accounting and Manufacturing 

• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero). 

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail. 

• Excellent communication and organizational skills. 

• Bilingual (English/French). 

• Canadian work permit.
