The Opportunity:

As Palmstreet expands across categories and features, we’re looking for a Content Designer to shape clear, human, and impactful communication across our product. You’ll craft the language help our user navigate livestreams, transactions, and community interactions with confidence and clarity.

This is a fully remote position, open to candidates based in Canada. You will report to the Design Lead and collaborate closely with product designers, PMs, and engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, write, edit and test compelling in-product language to supports users and teams meet their goals. This includes product flows, interface language, education materials, product names, message framework, terminology across Palmstreet digital and physical touch points.

  • Own product documentation and blog post. Collab with product and operation to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base to help users get quality answer as soon as possible.

  • Partner closely with Product Design, Product Management, and Engineering to ensure content decisions align with user needs, product goals, and brand voice.

  • Contribute to the structure and strategy of our in-app messaging framework—helping determine what to say, when, and how to drive user action.

  • Contribute to high-fidelity Figma mocks by embedding copy into flows and collaborating directly with designers.

  • Actively participate in design critiques and feedback sessions, offering and receiving constructive input to elevate the team’s work.

Qualifications:

We’re looking for a content designer with strong UX instincts, sharp writing, and a collaborative spirit. If the following describes you, we’d love to hear from you:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in UX writing or content design at a product-focused company.

  • Ability to distill complex concepts into approachable, easy-to-understand content for a wide range of users.

  • Examples of finished wireframes, or design mocks co-authored using design tools, that have been used to drive decision-making within a team.

  • Experience contributing to design—such as wireframes or high-fidelity mocks—that influence product decisions.

  • Familiarity with systems thinking and working within design systems at scale.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience designing for marketplace platforms.

  • Experience working with a global team.

Your Location:

  • Remote - Anywhere in Canada

  • Travel: Twice a year for team building events; 3-5 days for each event

Compensation:

  • Pay Range: $80,000 - $90,000 CAD

  • Stock options negotiable

The pay range for this role is determined by job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and current market data. Compensation ranges may be modified in the future to adjust for updated market data.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes:

  • Health insurance through Manulife: Silver plan covered for employees

  • Retirement Savings Plan through Wealthsimple with 4% employer contribution

  • Life, AD&D, short-term, and long-term disability insurance

  • 15 accrued PTO days per year, plus statutory local paid holidays and paid sick days
