POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a video content creator who will own the end-to-end creation of videos across LinkedIn, Meta, and YouTube and other corporate uses. You will plan, produce, and refine content that feels native to each platform’s codes and you will balance hands on craft with strategic input based on audience insights and performance goals. You will also help deliver targeted video tools to help connect with audiences in the stakeholder and business leader ecosystems as part of the Strategy Group’s broader initiatives.
You will combine sharp editorial instincts with craft, turning briefs and stakeholder moments into high-impact and engaging assets that perform natively on each platform while captivating and sparking conversations.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Own creative vision and storytelling. Translate briefs and insights into video-led stories that feel native to each platform’s style and best practices and that spark conversation, drive thought leadership and resonate with entrepreneurs and partners.
Produce and manage social-first video content. Plan, shoot, and edit videos for LinkedIn, Meta, and YouTube. Create Reels, Shorts and long-form videos with strong hooks, clear captions, and thumbnails designed for engagement. Apply YouTube, metadata and channel hygiene for maximum engagement and improve discovery.
Showcase leadership and key stakeholders. Turn priority moments into high-quality, social-ready content that highlights BDC’s executives and corporate initiatives. Work closely with Communications and Marketing to amplify major events and announcements across all platforms.
Support social media strategy and community management. Help develop and execute BDC’s social media strategy in alignment with corporate goals. Curate schedule and post content to maintain a consistent and engaging presence. Monitor platforms respond to comments and inquiries and foster meaningful conversations.
Maintain reusable libraries and templates. Build and evolve systematized templates graphics and motion packages for speed consistency and accessibility.
Collaborate for performance. Collaborate with other teams to improve content using data-driven insights. Test different versions of thumbnails and hooks, track results, and suggest changes to boost reach, engagement, and conversions
Champion brand and accessibility. Apply BDC brand voice and tone and gender-neutral plain language principles across content.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
5+ years in social content and video production and social media management (B2B or public sector preferred) with a portfolio of video graphics and copy tailored to platform norms.
Mastery of short and long-form video craft: scripting, storyboarding, filming, editing, motion graphics, sound, thumbnail design, and metadata optimization (especially YouTube).
Strong editorial judgment and storytelling skills; ability to distill complex topics into clear, engaging content for entrepreneurs.
Performance mindset: comfortable with A/B testing channel KPIs and using insights to iterate quickly.
Ability to stay ahead of social trends and adapt creative approaches quickly.
Bilingual (French/English) communication skills; adept at plain language and inclusive gender neutral writing.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop Illustrator) or equivalent; familiarity with captioning accessibility and localization best practices.
Experience collaborating with various teams and external partners; strong organization and project management skills.
