Job Description

Join our dynamic and expanding team to contribute to the growth of our department and propel your career to new heights. You will collaborate with various departments and participate in improving our high-standard personalized service in partnership with our sales force.

Your role:

  • Evaluate risks in life insurance, critical illness, and disability, and provide high-level expertise for advanced financial selection.

  • Produce high-quality evaluations with a service turnaround time of less than 24 hours.

  • Negotiate with reinsurers and the sales force.

  • Offer advisory, support, and coaching services as a financial analysis resource within the underwriting teams.

  • Share your knowledge with various departments, including monitoring and quality control of agents and MGAs.

  • Work closely with the financial and tax solutions team to provide comprehensive service, including preliminary analysis of large case underwriting files to generate new business, and be available for any questions related to Mid Market underwriting.

  • Conduct presentations and training sessions on Mid Market underwriting for MGAs and advisors regarding IA's underwriting philosophy, new guidelines, or clarifications of existing rules.

  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks.

Requirements:

  • University degree (BAC) and/or 10 years of relevant underwriting experience, including at least 5 years as a Mid Market underwriter.

  • ALU designation (an asset).

  • FLMI designation (an asset).

  • Bilingualism, french and english
