Hitachi Energie Canada est à la recherche d’un(e) Conseiller(ère) juridique dynamique pour rejoindre notre équipe Légalité & Intégrité basée à Montréal. Il s’agit d’une opportunité unique de soutenir une entreprise en pleine croissance et de contribuer à façonner le cadre juridique d’un leader mondial de l’innovation énergétique. Vous jouerez un rôle clé en conseillant sur une vaste gamme de questions juridiques, en mettant en œuvre des stratégies mondiales et en favorisant la croissance tout en protégeant nos opérations à travers le Canada.

Relevant directement du/de la Responsable Légalité et Intégrité pour le Canada, vous collaborerez étroitement avec les dirigeants de l’entreprise pour fournir des solutions juridiques pragmatiques, rapides et orientées vers les affaires. Votre travail contribuera directement à l’augmentation du volume de commandes, à la réduction des risques et à l’amélioration de la gouvernance. Votre impact
  • Examiner et rédiger des contrats commerciaux en veillant à leur alignement avec les objectifs de l’entreprise.

  • Collaborer avec les équipes internes pour expliquer les clauses clés des contrats, aligner les positions et définir la stratégie avant les discussions avec les clients.

  • Soutenir l’approbation interne et l’évaluation des risques liés aux contrats importants.

  • Participer ou diriger les négociations contractuelles avec les clients.

  • Conseiller sur diverses questions juridiques quotidiennes touchant différents secteurs de l’entreprise.

  • Promouvoir une gouvernance solide et protéger les intérêts et la réputation de l’entreprise.

  • Gérer les relations avec les cabinets juridiques externes.

  • Améliorer les outils contractuels, les modèles et les initiatives de sensibilisation.

  • Soutenir la résolution constructive des litiges commerciaux et des problèmes clients.

Votre expérience
  • Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en droit des affaires/commercial.

  • Membre en règle du Barreau du Québec.

  • Bilingue en français et en anglais.

  • Compétences solides en rédaction et négociation de contrats.

  • Bonne compréhension des enjeux commerciaux et approche juridique pragmatique et orientée solutions.

  • Souplesse et capacité d’adaptation, avec aptitude à gérer plusieurs dossiers dans un environnement rapide.

  • Sens élevé des responsabilités, de l’intégrité et de l’appropriation des livrables.

  • Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles et en communication, avec une approche orientée client (interne et externe).

Hitachi Energy Canada is seeking a dynamic Legal Counsel to join our Montreal-based Legal & Integrity team. This is a unique opportunity to support a growing business and help shape the legal framework of a global leader in energy innovation. You’ll play a key role in advising on a wide range of legal matters, implementing global strategies, and enabling business growth while safeguarding our operations across Canada.

Reporting directly to the Head of Legal and Integrity, Canada, you will work closely with business leaders across the organization to deliver pragmatic, timely, and business-oriented legal solutions. Your work will directly contribute to increased order volume, reduced risk, and enhanced governance. How you'll make an impact

  • Review and draft commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Engage with internal teams to articulate key contract terms and implications, align position, and shape strategy before client discussions.

  • Support internal approval and risk assessment of key agreements.

  • Support and/or lead contract negotiations with clients.

  • Advise on various day-to-day legal questions across different areas of the business.

  • Promote strong governance and safeguard the company’s interest and reputation.

  • Liaise with and manage external legal counsel.

  • Improve contracting tools, templates, and awareness initiatives.

  • Support the business in resolving commercial disputes and client issues constructively.

Your background

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business/commercial law.

  • Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar.

  • Bilingual in English and French.

  • Skilled in contract drafting and negotiation.

  • Strong business acumen and pragmatic, solution oriented legal approach.

  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple matters in a fast-paced setting.

  • High sense of accountability, integrity, and ownership of deliverables.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a solution-oriented mindset toward internal and external clients.
