ABB North America is offering an exciting opportunity for a Communications & Marketing Manager to join our Process Industries division. In this role, you will have a direct impact on shaping ABB’s market presence across North America, helping to build brand strength and thought leadership for one of the world’s most trusted industrial technology companies.

You are a creative, proactive, and collaborative communicator and marketer with a strong interest in digital marketing and automation. You thrive in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment and are motivated by delivering tangible business impact through compelling storytelling and customer‑centric campaigns.

Reporting to the Global Business Line Communications & Marketing Manager for Mining & Materials, you will drive integrated marketing and communications initiatives across North America, with a strong focus on:

  • Increasing brand visibility and thought leadership
  • Supporting commercial objectives and revenue growth
  • Leveraging digital marketing to engage and nurture customers throughout their buying journey

You will work closely with local leadership, sales teams, and global business line communications leads to design, localize, and execute high‑impact campaigns that showcase ABB’s portfolio, solutions, and customer success stories. Your audience will include customers, industry media, influencers, partners, and employees.

You will also be responsible for ensuring executional excellence across all communications, maintaining strong alignment with ABB’s brand positioning, visual identity, and global and local strategies.

This role supports two key business lines within Process Industries:

  • Mining & Materials
  • Metals & Power Conversion

Location & Work Model

  • Open to candidates in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico
  • Preference for Canada (Montreal)

Your Responsibilities

  • Translate global business line marketing and communications strategies into high‑impact local marketing and communication plans, driving brand visibility, thought leadership, and demand generation across North America.
  • Partner closely with local leadership, sales teams, and global Business Line Communications leaders to create compelling, relevant, and impactful stories that showcase ABB’s portfolio, local projects, experts, and customer success stories.
  • Develop and deliver a wide range of communications assets, including press releases, videos, presentations, executive speeches, articles, social media content, and customer references.
  • Lead and manage ABB’s participation in industry events, such as trade shows, customer seminars, and ABB‑hosted events, ensuring strong positioning of ABB’s brand, solutions, and leaders.
  • Drive internal communications at the local level to ensure employees are informed, aligned, and engaged.
  • Plan, organize, and host local town halls in collaboration with the local management team, supporting transparency and engagement.
  • Ensure executional excellence and consistency across all communications, fully aligned with ABB’s brand positioning, visual identity, and global and local strategies.

Your Background

  • University degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing communications, ideally within a communications agency or B2B/industrial environment.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to translate complex technologies into clear, engaging messages. French required for Canada‑based candidates.
  • Creative, solution‑oriented, and self‑driven, with strong strategic and analytical thinking.
  • Solid experience with digital marketing and marketing automation tools (e.g. Salesforce, Pardot);
