About the team
The Corporate Communications team leads Intact Financial Corporation’s internal and external communications in support of IFC’s business objectives and strategic roadmap. This includes:
Supporting and amplifying the common elements that bring us together, define our unique culture and drive outperformance
Enhancing employee engagement across IFC, emphasizing what makes us a winning team
Protecting and promoting the IFC brand and reputation globally
Elevating IFC’s role in helping to build resilient communities where we do business
Amplifying IFC’s knowledge, expertise and thought leadership in our key markets
Within the Corporate Communications team, the Strategic Internal Communications team works closely with other communications teams to engage and empower employees through internal communications strategies and tactics that connect the dots for them with IFC's purpose, values and objectives.
What you’ll do here:
60% operational & analytical:
Schedule and lead editorial committee meetings to coordinate communications content, tactics and dates
With input from other communications teams, maintain a cross-functional corporate communications editorial calendar
Analyze and present data and insights relating to internal communications metrics, like intranet article views and employee newsletter clicks
Support team members in staying organized and on track with communication objectives
Distribute and post content on internal channels
Ensure that intranet content is in line with editorial best practices and governance protocols
40% creative & innovative:
Execute on the strategic communications plan to increase employees’ understanding of IFC's purpose, objectives, values and employee promise
Collaborate with external communications team to craft engaging stories that repurpose external communications for internal audiences
Create relatable and insights-driven content that strategically tells the IFC story to employees
What you bring to the table:
An undergraduate degree with specialization in communications, public relations, marketing or a related discipline
Minimum of 3 years of communications experience working in a corporate or similar environment
Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop strategic insights
Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of building strong working relationships across diverse teams
Willingness and ability to learn new skills to support the team
Highly computer literate with strong command of MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
Experience with Canva, Adobe Analytics, SharePoint Online, Staffbase is an asset
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
No Canadian work experience required, but must have authorization to work in Canada.
