Do you love planning memorable events, connecting with people, and creating engaging marketing content? Evolving Web is seeking a Communications & Events Manager with strong writing and digital marketing skills.

In this role, you’ll organize events, support sponsorships, coordinate marketing campaigns, and craft high-quality content—from social media posts and newsletters to event promotions. You’ll represent Evolving Web at events and help boost our brand visibility through compelling storytelling.

We’re looking for someone with proven event planning and marketing experience, excellent organization and writing skills, and a passion for content creation.

What You’ll Be DoingCommunication/Marketing (60%)
  • Coordinating between teams, working closely with marketing, sales, designers, subject-matter experts, and external partners to ensure smooth collaboration and align marketing initiatives with business goals.
  • Assist in developing and executing digital marketing campaigns (social, email, web).
  • Write, edit, and proofread compelling content for various channels, including websites, social media, email campaigns, newsletters (HubSpot), ad copy, and event promotions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop impactful, audience-focused stories that highlight Evolving Web’s expertise, culture, and community involvement.
  • Ensure brand consistency, tone, and messaging across all internal and external communications
  • Representing Evolving Web by traveling to events, ensuring smooth execution, and fostering relationships with partners and attendees.
  • Conduct thorough market research to analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Identify target audiences and customer segments based on market research and analytics to inform content and campaign strategies..
  • Develop marketing strategies for Evolving Web and our events.
Events Coordination (40%)
  • Managing event and marketing logistics, ensuring that conferences, sponsorships, webinars, and trainings stay on track.
  • Handling event details, including researching venues, liaising with vendors, managing registrations, and overseeing logistics for both online and in-person events.
  • Supporting event promotions through email marketing, website content, and social media campaigns.
  • Tracking performance by monitoring event turnout, tracking engagement, and compiling post-event reports to measure success.

RequirementsWhat You Bring to the Table
  • 3-5 years of experience in event coordination, marketing, content writing, or a related role.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks while ensuring details are managed.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills, with experience in content marketing, copywriting.
  • Ability to develop impactful messages and adapt them for various audiences and media platforms.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRMs and email marketing platforms for managing contacts, newsletters and campaigns.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to conferences and events across North America. You will have to travel 6 to 10 time per year in Canada and the US. 
  • You can communicate clearly in French (asset) and English
Bonus Points If You…
  • Have experience in public speaking or presenting at events.
  • Are familiar with design tools like Canva or Figma.
  • Have experience or knowledge about Drupal, WordPress or other CMS platforms
  • Have webmaster and SEO optimization experience
  • Have web or marketing agency experience.
  • Have worked in industries such as universities, healthcare, public sector, government, or non-profits.
