Job Description
The Shared Health Digital Health division is seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist for the Digital Shared Services project. The role supports healthcare delivery transformation through the implementation and optimization of information and communication technology across the provincial healthcare sector.
The resource will work on healthcare information system initiatives, including clinical workflows, EMR implementations, business analysis, training, testing, and stakeholder collaboration within healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform business analysis activities for healthcare information system implementation projects
- Gather and document customer/business requirements
- Conduct process mapping and identify capability gaps
- Analyze clinical and operational workflows
- Support Electronic Medical Record (EMR) implementations and upgrades
- Consolidate stakeholder feedback and data analysis findings for leadership reporting
- Develop future-state models and support go-live activities
- Deliver end-user training and create training materials
- Develop test plans, test scripts, and execute system/UAT testing
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Support healthcare transformation initiatives using digital technologies
Requirements
Mandatory Requirements (Pass/Fail)
- Degree, diploma, or certificate in Business Analysis
- Proof of degree/diploma/certification must be provided.
- Must be legally able to work remotely within Canada.

Experience & Skill Requirements
1. Healthcare Business Analysis & Process Mapping (10 Points)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience performing business analysis tasks in healthcare information system implementation projects
- Experience with:
- Process mapping
- Requirement gathering
- Documenting business/customer requirements
- Gap analysis
- Must provide:
- At least 3 project examples
- Combined experience totaling 5+ years
2. Healthcare Business Analysis & Future State Modeling (10 Points)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience performing business analysis in healthcare environments
- Experience with:
- Stakeholder engagement
- Data analysis
- Presenting findings to leadership
- Future-state model development
- Go-live support
- Must provide:
- At least 3 project examples
- Combined experience totaling 5+ years
3. EMR Implementation / Upgrade Experience (15 Points)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience implementing or upgrading Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
- Experience with:
- Clinical workflow analysis
- Clinical workflow development
- Must provide:
- At least 2 project examples
- Combined experience totaling 3+ years
4. Training & Documentation Experience (10 Points)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting information system training
- Experience with:
- Delivering end-user training
- Developing training materials
- Must provide:
- At least 2 project examples
- Combined experience totaling 3+ years
5. Testing & QA Experience (10 Points)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience testing information systems
- Experience with:
- Test plans
- Test scripts
- System testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Healthcare system integration testing
- Must provide:
- At least 2 project examples
- Combined experience totaling 3+ years
- At least 1 healthcare integration testing example
6. Clinical Team Coordination & Patient Care Experience (10 Points)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience coordinating with multidisciplinary clinical teams while providing direct patient care
- Must provide:
- At least 1 example
- Combined experience totaling 3+ years
