Job Summary:

As Chief of Staff (CoS), you’ll be a trusted advisor to the CEO and a key driver of alignment, focus, and execution across Central 1’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT).

You’ll manage the ELT’s agenda, communications, and decision-making cadence—ensuring priorities, risks, and strategies stay on track. Acting on behalf of the CEO, you'll turn ideas into action, cut through complexity, and keep the organization moving forward.

This role blends strategy, execution, and communication. You’ll connect dots across the business, track progress on critical initiatives, and turn insights into impact.

We’re looking for a sharp, strategic operator with proven business management experience, strong planning skills, and a knack for turning big-picture thinking into results.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supports and advises the CEO and other members of executive leadership by anticipating, identifying and assessing strategic issues and providing recommendations.

  • Develops a calendar, cadence, agenda and process for ELT interactions to facilitate alignment and decision making across the executive thereby enabling business leaders to make effective, informed decisions.

  • Prioritizes that the ELT focuses on and addresses the most pertinent issues and opportunities for optimal     effectiveness.

  • Monitors ELT operating plans and escalates issues for discussion ensuring continued alignment and adherence to strategy and KPIs and supports execution where required.

  • Oversees various aspects of managing logistics of the CEO office, managing the CEO’s calendar ensuring that the CEO is prepared for events, delegating or generating correspondence, speaking notes and presentation prep, and drafts key client and internal communications on behalf of the CEO.  

  • Where appropriate, the CoS will step in for CEO in various internal and external meetings.

  • Maintains a strong network across departments to keep pulse on the inner workings of the organization to achieve greater buy-in at all levels and serves as liaison between all employees and the CEO. 

  • Supports the CEO in engaging with Members and external Stakeholders by ensuring the CEO is well prepared by translating complex, unstructured problems and opportunities into a clear executive level narrative and defined business strategy and recommendations. 

  • As assigned, establishes and maintains good relationships with external partners/stakeholders to understand and influence their activities, and promote and enhance the organization’s goals and reputation.

  • Stays abreast of key operations and strategic intents through collaboration with senior management and department leaders, helping to reinforce focus of time/attention on areas where they can have the most impact while recognizing that changes may be required to respond to a dynamic environment.

  • Responsible for identifying enterprise-level issues and opportunities, escalating and presenting recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) or the CEO for resolution.

  • The CoS may represent the CEO at Steer Cos and external meetings, holding a productive role in decision-making processes.

  • CoS has the authority to challenge or support a recommendation from an ELT member, and the ELT member is expected to respond accordingly as a representative of the CEO. 

  • Responsible for the CEO's brand among employees

  • Integral and active participate in ELT meetings, actively participating in discussion, and decision-making.
     

What you'll have:

  • Business degree in a relevant discipline. Professional designation(s) and/or MBA graduate.

  • 7+ years experience including areas just as strategy & planning, business operations, program & project management, effective analysis and communication  (management consulting experience preferred; focus on operations management)

  • Progressively more responsible and accountable senior leadership experience in a similar capacity.

  • Thorough understanding of program management methodologies and experience in developing a program       

  • management approach and strategy.

  • Credibility as an authentic and strategic change leader.

  • Thorough understanding of project/program management methodologies and experience in developing a program

  • management approach and strategy.

  • Demonstrated superior business and management acumen with solid understanding of multi-stakeholder   

  • environments.

  • Good conceptual knowledge of IT infrastructure and awareness of emerging technologies.

  • Proven skills, expertise, and confidence to work effectively with senior stakeholders e.g clients, vendors, Board of Directors.

  • Expert in building partnerships and strategic alliances and skilled in working with a diverse  

  • range of stakeholders.

  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills

Salary range: $132,000-$170,000
The salary range represents the job rate determined for the successful candidate who is fully competent in the role. The actual salary will vary depending on market conditions and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
