Position Summary

We are looking for a visionary and people-focused Product Chapter Lead to join our Product and Content Crew. In this role, you will be at the heart of our agile transformation, leading the product management craft and nurturing a culture of product excellence. You will be a key leader in our organization, coaching and mentoring our Product Leads who are deployed across various squads.

Your core mission is to empower our product professionals to build and deliver exceptional products that create significant value for our customers and business. You will act as a coach, mentor, and functional leader, applying your deep expertise in product management to build a high-performing team that consistently delivers high-quality solutions and drives business success.

This leadership position requires more than just product proficiency. We're looking for someone who is a genuine servant leader, understands the nuance of a user-centric approach, and is comfortable navigating complex business challenges. You should be adept at framing user problems, validating solutions, and guiding your team to communicate a product vision in a clear and compelling way. If you are a curious, rigorous, and energizing leader passionate about turning user needs into real-world advantage, we would like to hear from you.

In our model, you will excel at both how we build and what we build.Responsibilities

The "How": People, Practices, and Capability (70%)

  • Elevate Our Talent: As a direct line manager and mentor, you are responsible for the continuous growth of your chapter members. You'll work with each person to create a personalized growth path, identifying opportunities for skill development and future career progression.

  • Architect Our Practices: You will partner with your colleagues to define and evolve our ways of working for Product. This includes establishing best practices, product frameworks, and repeatable processes that empower every person in your chapter to deliver high-quality, impactful work.

  • Drive Learning: You will lead a learning agenda for your chapter, identifying skill gaps and providing opportunities for knowledge sharing and professional development. This could involve organizing training, workshops, and communities of practice to ensure our people have the skills needed for tomorrow's challenges.

  • Create a Continuous Feedback Loop: You will establish a strong, collaborative feedback loop with the Product Owners who work with your chapter members. This ensures that career progression and performance conversations are informed by a holistic view—combining your understanding of their craft and skills with the Product Owner's perspective on their day-to-day delivery and contributions.

  • Shape Our Future: You will assess the capabilities within your chapter to help inform workforce planning, recruitment, and succession strategies. Your deep understanding of your people's skills is essential for ensuring we have the right talent to meet the needs of the organization.

  • Serve as an active, hands-on member of an agile squad, contributing directly to the squad's goals and deliverables.

  • Transform user needs and business goals into a compelling product strategy and roadmap.

  • Propose solutions and strategies to address business challenges, both individually and through the work of your chapter.

  • Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to understand their needs and guide your chapter in delivering impactful product solutions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a product management, product ownership, or related role.

  • 3+ years of proven experience in a leadership, mentorship, or coaching role. Formal management experience is a strong asset.

  • Understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly as they apply to product development.

  • Must have proficiency in modern product management methodologies, including product discovery, design thinking, and lean principles.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening, and presentation skills.

  • Excellent strategic and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

About You
  • A people-first leader, motivated by helping others succeed and dedicated to the growth and well-being of your team members.

  • A bias for action, with the ability to deliver outstanding results through task prioritization and time management.

  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently learn and solve new business domains and problems.

  • User empathy, with a healthy skepticism about assumptions and a commitment to validating needs.

  • Intellectual curiosity to understand and answer challenging user and business questions.
