Votre mission est la suivante:
Conception de turbines :
- Définir une stratégie de conception conformément aux spécifications contractuelles ou aux objectifs R&D
- Mettre en œuvre une méthode appropriée de conception visant à réaliser les objectifs de performance du projet
- Concevoir, calculer et évaluer les modèles conformément aux directives existantes
- Établir une spécification des essais et analyser les données d’essais
Gestion de projets :
- Exécuter les projets dans le respect des coûts et du calendrier
- Superviser l’exécution des projets : étudier les spécifications techniques contractuelles, coordonner les interactions avec le bureau d’études, les laboratoires et les équipes mécaniques
- Communiquer de manière efficace avec le partenaire interne et avec la direction sur l’exécution des projets, en partageant les risques et les opportunités
- Élaborer la note technique de consolidation du portefeuille et la revue de fin de projet afin de renforcer l’expérience de l’équipe en matière de conception
Qualifications/Exigences :

  • Baccalauréat en ingénierie de mécanique des fluides

  • Membre de l’OIQ, CPI ou PRT (au moins être admissible)

  • Expérience en conception de turbomachines et en simulation numérique des fluides (CFD)

Caractéristiques souhaitées :

  • Solide compréhension des phénomènes de la mécanique des fluides

  • Bonnes compétences en raisonnement ; Bon relationnel et communication

  • Esprit d'équipe, contributeur positif et engagé, volonté d'apprendre et de s'adapter aux besoins de l'entreprise

The Fluid Mechanics Engineer performs all activities related to hydraulic design, on projects and R&D programs. Their activities include project management, planning, budgeting, and interactions with other departments (design office, laboratory, etc.). Their main mission is to achieve expected results by meeting technical objectives within timelines and budget constraints. This position reports to the Hydraulic Design Manager.

Your mission includes:

Turbine Design:

·        Define a design strategy in compliance with contractual specifications or R&D objectives

·        Implement an appropriate design method to achieve project performance goals

·        Design, calculate, and evaluate models according to existing guidelines

·        Establish test specifications and analyze test data

Project Management:

·        Execute projects while respecting costs and schedule

·        Supervise project execution: study contractual technical specifications, coordinate interactions with design office, laboratories, and mechanical teams

·        Communicate effectively with internal partners and management about project execution, sharing risks and opportunities

·        Develop technical consolidation notes for the portfolio and end-of-project review to enhance the team's design experience

Qualifications/Requirements:

·        Bachelor of Engineering related to fluid mechanics
·  Member of the OIQ, EIT or TPR (at least eligible)

·        Experience in turbomachine design and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)

Desired Characteristics:

·        Solid understanding of fluid mechanics phenomena

·        Strong reasoning skills; Good interpersonal and communication skills

·        Team spirit, positive and committed contributor, willingness to learn and adapt to business needs

·        Creative and innovative thinking – able to bring new ideas to solve project challenges

·   Advanced engineering degree preferred – Master's, engineering degree, or doctorate from an accredited university

·        Proactivity, sense of urgency

·        Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Fortran, etc.

·        Knowledge of IEC codes relating to Hydraulic Turbines
