Job Description

SSENSE is seeking a Buying Coordinator, Womenswear to provide essential support to both Buyers and Assistant Buyers within a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment. The core responsibility of this role is to ensure the timely and accurate execution of purchase orders (POs) and the delivery of critical business reports. The Coordinator will work closely with the Buying team, fostering strong collaboration across departments to support efficient business operations.

What You Will Do:

  • Purchase Order (PO) Management: Ensure timely and accurate entry of purchase orders in compliance with department standards. This includes reviewing order confirmations, flagging discrepancies promptly, and identifying carryover products in the system.

  • Operational and Cross-Departmental Support: Facilitate smooth day-to-day operations by maintaining strong cross-departmental communication and following up on tasks to ensure timely completion. Provide support to Buying team members on ad hoc projects and assist with product and inventory inquiries from customer service.

  • Market Analysis and Trend Reporting: Contribute to the development of the industry report by highlighting new trends, brands, and top investments. Participate in providing insights on emerging category trends or brands within the industry to the Buying leadership.

  • Sales Data and Performance Reporting: Generate accurate weekly intercross-departmental sales data reports and vendor-facing reports to track performance against plan and key business metrics. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Buying, or a related field.

  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience, preferably within the fashion and retail industry.

  • Intermediate level in Microsoft Excel or/and Google Sheet.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English. French is required as it is the language in the Quebec province. 

  • Availability to come to the office twice a week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).
