The mission of the Business Quality Insurance Department is to support excellence in project and product delivery. We govern, oversee and contribute to the certification of quality standards, ensuring that each project fully meets users’ business needs while complying with current standards. As a business quality assurance testing officer, you analyze and diagnose issues and situations related to large-scale deliveries and rollouts in your area of expertise, as well as provide quality control and assurance. You provide opinions in accordance with your discipline’s rules and recommend solutions to improve and optimize standards, policies and programs. You recommend implementation plans. You play an active role in establishing and implementing multiple quality-assurance strategies for business solutions in a highly complex, large-scale
Define and align the program-wide testing strategy in line with best practices
Implement a structured quality governance framework, including documentation, quality reviews and traceability
Build, guide and support a high-performing testing team (coordinators, QA analysts)
Work with clients to define needs and interpret requirements
Assess project complexity, identify risks and recommend practical solutions
Estimate required effort and recommend the necessary resources and budgets
Plan and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), including access, data and environments
Work closely with POs, business analysts, architects, integrators and other parties involved
Maintain strategic relationships and represent Desjardins’s quality practice both internally and externally
Integrate innovative testing technologies and tools to enhance efficiency and quality
Recommend improvements to quality assurance standards, policies and programs
Produce key deliverables: testing strategy, plans, quality reviews, reports and traceability matrix
Validate and approve deliverables at project milestones, ensuring they meet expectations

What you bring to the table
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in IT quality assurance
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered Experience working in an agile development environment
Experience in test automation
Experience developing manual test scenarios
Experience drafting and running test strategies and scenarios
International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) certification or equivalent
Advanced knowledge of Xray, Confluence, HPALM
