This Position reports to:

Local Division Manager
 

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the local management of all project execution activities in the area of responsibility. Each day, you will ensure operations are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by coordinating and overseeing team development and standardized process development to continually improve the effectiveness of Project Execution teams.
The work model for the role is hybride.
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Lead the implementation of continuous improvements to the project execution strategy for local and regional Project Operations.

  • Ensure that the project portfolio is managed consistently, in line with best practices and ABB policies, controls, and requirements.

  • Oversee and lead the local Project Execution team, ensuring consistent adherence to ABB policies, processes, and governance standards.

  • Supervise project execution and performance management through regular project reviews with management and Project Managers, ensuring contract fulfillment and approving any project deviations.

  • Take an active role in resolving escalated issues, particularly those raised by customers.

  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely sales order booking. Monitor sales order entries (e.g., in SAP) to ensure compliance with contract specifications and company standards. Implement controls to prevent errors and fraud in the sales order process, and coordinate closely with sales and finance teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.

Qualifications for the role

  • Strong expertise in business governance, performance management, and compliance

  • Proven ability in risk & opportunity management, including mitigation and escalation

  • Solid experience with contract management, including interpretation and application of commercial terms & conditions

  • Demonstrated capability in scope, change, and claims management (CCRP / SNCRP)

  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and continuous improvement

  • Advanced experience in project finance, cost control, and margin management

  • Exposure to hedging, taxation, Incoterms, logistics, and procurement

  • Ability to support commercial negotiations and advise sales on contractual and financial implications

  • Comfortable managing business activities with annual revenue exposure of ~$60M–$105M CAD

Operations, Supply Chain & Execution

  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations in a project‑based environment

  • Ability to manage schedules, priorities, and cross‑functional task execution

  • Strong awareness of resource planning and capacity management

Education & Experience

  • College or University degree recognized in Canada (Business, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent)

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Excellent communication skills in both English and French (written and spoken). French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
