Drata is looking for a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to help us drive growth by turning our data into a competitive advantage. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SaaS business models and key metrics with a proven track record of using cloud-native BI platforms like Sigma to deliver actionable insights. You will be responsible for defining, measuring, benchmarking and analyzing our core business performance, helping to inform critical decisions across our organization.
You’ll work with structured and unstructured data to create models, design visualizations, and implement predictive analytics solutions. This role is both technical and strategic—ideal for someone who’s excited to build scalable solutions and influence how data shapes decision making.

What you’ll do:
- SaaS Metrics Analysis: Be the expert on our key performance indicators (KPIs). You will create and maintain reports and dashboards to track Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Customer Lifetime Value (LTV), churn rate, Per FTE Efficiency and other essential SaaS metrics.
- Sigma Platform Management: Design, build, and maintain interactive workbooks and dashboards in Sigma that allow our teams to explore data and get answers quickly. You'll leverage Sigma's unique spreadsheet-like interface to create data models and empower business users with self-service analytics.
- Transform complex datasets into clear, concise storytelling for diverse audiences
- Stay informed on trends in AI, ML, and advanced analytics.
- Data Modeling and Integrity: Partner with data engineers to ensure data is accurate, reliable, and structured correctly in our cloud data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake). You will assist in data modeling and ensure our metrics are consistently defined across the organization.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with leaders in Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product to understand their needs and provide data-driven recommendations that improve efficiency and inform strategic planning. You will be a key partner in forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct deep-dive investigations to answer complex business questions, identify root causes of performance changes, and uncover new opportunities for growth.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MIS, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance or Economics)
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, or a similar role, preferably within a SaaS company.
- In-depth knowledge of core SaaS metrics (MRR, ARR, LTV, CAC, churn) and experience in building and analyzing them.
- Experience using Sigma to build dashboards and visualizations.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Experience with a cloud data warehouse like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- An ability to multitask and manage multiple projects - work prioritization, planning and task delegation
- Must be motivated by working with awesome people, and dedicated to helping take Drata to the next level
- Must be a self-starter who excels at multitasking and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Must have a strong desire to learn and grow
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and an understanding of their differences.
- Familiarity with data modeling tools like dbt.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a quantitative or technical field
- 5+ years of experience (or more)
- Demonstrated expertise with Sigma
- Exposure to cloud-based platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS, Azure)
- Familiar with Google workspace (Sheets/Slides)

This role will receive a competitive base salary, benefits, and stock, typically in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The applicable salary range for each US-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers based on the cost of labor for that geographic area. The expected salary ranges for this role are below, subject to change.
Tier 1: $144,800 - $178,900
Tier 2: $130,300 - $161,000
Tier 3: $115,800 - $143,100
