Within Lyft, the Lyft Urban Solutions (LUS) team delivers micromobility solutions. The Business Development Specialist will be a part of the LUS Enterprise Business Intelligence & Bid Management (BIBM) Team that plays a critical part in early stages of the sales process by analyzing the market, identifying key upcoming opportunities, and spearheading the cross-functional effort with internal and external stakeholders to prepare for and deliver winning proposals for public procurements. The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for driving project management across key bid deliverables and delivering written content for bids.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive content creation and written proposals for public procurements to support winning bids.
  • Ensure bid proposals are responsive to complex submission requirements and meet our process and quality standards.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment to submit bid deliverables across internal and external stakeholders
  • Project manage hardware and software demos to showcase our solution to current and potential clients and partners.
  • Lead end-to-end management of bid submission for smaller scale opportunities to scale our growth in securing new market access.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in proposal/permit/grant writing or other writing-heavy role
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage cross-functional stakeholders on multiple bids simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively convey information 
  • Interest in bikeshare and micromobility
  • Ability to work under pressure and on tight timelines
  • Highly attentive to detail
  • Curiosity to understand and externally represent and sell our Lyft Urban Solutions product suite 
  • Experience in writing public-facing document strongly preferred 
  • Experience working with external clients preferred but not required
  • Bilingual (English/French); Ability to communicate effectively in English (for dealing with English-speaking colleagues and clients outside of Quebec).

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid

The expected base pay range for this position in the Montreal area is CAD $57,424 - CAD $71,780. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
