Reporting to the Director, Eastern Canada, Advisor Distribution, you’ll be the go-to expert for building strong relationships and driving Manulife’s investment strategies across your territory. Think of yourself as the connector, strategist, and trusted advisor all rolled into one!

Business Development Manager is an exciting and dynamic role, and we’re committed to setting you up for success! Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner Up: Work hand-in-hand with the Regional VP to co-manage a dynamic territory of portfolio managers and investment advisors.

  • Be the MVP: Become an indispensable partner by sharing market insights, shaping business strategies, and delivering smart investment counsel.

  • Own the Plan: Execute your business plan, hit your activity targets, and create an exceptional client experience every time.

  • Grow Big: Attract, acquire, and retain clients while increasing share of wallet—because growth is your game.

  • Team Player: Collaborate with internal teams to maximize distribution and deliver a seamless client journey.

  • Think Like an Analyst: Dive into investment strategy and portfolio construction analytics.

  • Know Your Stuff: Master Manulife’s products and keep tabs on what competitors are up to.

  • Play by the Rules: Uphold corporate and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • A university degree (bonus points for CFA, CIM, or FCSI).

  • 3+ years of sales experience in the financial industry.

  • Deep knowledge of asset management and wealth management.

  • Bilingual (French & English) is required - The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.

  • And yes—you’ll be in the office 4 days a week (we love collaboration!).

Salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
