As an Optical Technical Sales Consultant, you will be at the forefront of Nokia's Optical technology expansion in Canada. Responsibilities
  • Drive new business, technical strategies for new customers in Canada.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the enterprise market, focusing on Optical solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and requirements.
  • Develop and execute business plans and strategies to achieve sales targets and market penetration goals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to ensure Nokia's solutions remain competitive.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and marketing, to align efforts and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Contribute to RFPs, RFIs and advice on competitive market pricing
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify market gaps and potential areas of growth for Nokia's Optical solutions.
  • Support the development and delivery of training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of account managers and sales teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Nokia's policies, procedures, and standards, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
     
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Optical networking or telecommunications industry in Canada preferably in the Enterprise market.
  • Proven track record of successful business development and sales management, with a strong understanding of the Canadian enterprise market.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities, with a results-oriented approach to driving business growth.
  • Deep knowledge of Optical networking technologies, including DWDM, ROADM, and network automation solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and build effective working relationships.
  • Flexibility to travel within Canada as required to meet customer needs and support business development activities.
