POSITION OVERVIEW
The Business Advisor/Senior Business Advisor, BDC Advisory Services, works on standard and customized consulting services projects for a specific practice, with a focus on professional, high-quality solutions that help entrepreneurs grow their businesses. He or she manages the delivery of projects; provides domain expertise and sales support; and helps to promote the offer of practice.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Deliver standard and customized consulting service projects.
Offering a broad offering of impactful services, including but not limited to the implementation of multiple standards such as cybersecurity, privacy, quality, food safety, and the environment to targeted entrepreneurs. The focus will be on delivering professional, high-quality solutions that help entrepreneurs grow their businesses.
Manage project delivery by monitoring scope, budget, schedule and objectives, and ensure quality assurance of projects and deliverables.
Act as a "subject matter expert" and stay up to date on market trends to support the development and evolution of practice solutions and tools.
Contribute to business development.
Provide sales support by conducting customer needs diagnostics and providing input for customized proposals.
Work closely with client partners to help transfer knowledge and expertise, define scope, deliver projects, discover opportunities, and sell new mandates.
Contribute to practicing outreach activities by developing marketing content and helping to promote the offering.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA), or Food Science, or Process Engineering or a related professional designation (a Master's degree in a related field would be an asset).
Minimum of 5 years in a consulting firm, with experience in the implementation of risk management and compliance frameworks
training or significant experience in the implementation of frameworks such as ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, food standards (HACCP, RSAC, GFSI)
Internal Auditor Training
In-depth subject matter expertise.
Ability to develop relevant pragmatic solutions in an SME business environment and to offer strategic coaching to the company, as needed.
Strong customer focus and customer service, with a clear focus on providing value to the customer.
Proven ability to manage and deliver standard and customized consulting projects.
Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices in the context of client service delivery.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as an ability to participate in outreach, promotion and business development activities.
Teamwork, collaboration and relationship building skills.
Bilingualism in English and French (an asset in most markets and a requirement in some).
Travel within a limited geographic area, sometimes with travel to other locations in Canada, if necessary.
