Bilingual Quality Assurance Lead

The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible to apply the overall testing strategy and test plan for project implementation. Under the supervision of a Quality Assurance Lead, they are responsible for applying defined best practices and testing techniques on a given project. In addition to overseeing testing activities, they make recommendations to continuously improve QA processes in accordance with best practices.
As part of their customer-focused responsibilities, they are responsible for updating the UAT testing strategy and ensuring its proper execution. They act as the gatekeeper for client requests and are accountable for coordinating all joint QA activities.

What you'll do...

• Implements the comprehensive testing strategy for a given client
• Ensures that the various components of the software solution are effectively tested
• Ensures that the integration between software/system components is effectively tested
• Ensures that end-to-end tests are effectively conducted
• Works with stakeholder to define the test plan and the test execution 
• Collaborates with the project manager to establish the schedule for each implementation
• Participates in preparing and presenting QA briefings to clients regarding the test strategy
• Acts as the point of contact for the client regarding the test strategy
• Meet with the client to receive their feedback and priorities on QA activities
• Manages test priorities directly with the client's QA lead
• Communicates as needed, including providing status reports on QA progress to the project manager and client
• Contributes to developing best practice guidelines for the test strategy
• Assists in establishing the most effective processes and tools for testing the solution
• Ensures the tracking of QA measures
• Manages and supervises the automation project for the client's implementation by closely coordinating with our offshore and onshore teams

What you bring...

• A University degree in computer science, actuarial science or math, engineering, business or any relevant field
• 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and minimum 5 years as a QA Lead
• Excellent knowledge of Quality Assurance processes
• Previous experience in testing software
• Experience with agile methods will be considered an asset
• Experience with working with offshore resources will be considered an asset;
• Strong working knowledge of industry standards and best practices for software testing
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as knowledge in the areas of technology and communications
• Have a great attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French
