This Position reports to:

Sales Support Manager
 

Create and complete bids/estimations/quotations for large induction motors based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget in order to achieve both market competitiveness and the expected margin level for the Company. Maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers that are present in the area of responsibility.

The work model for the role is: hybrid
This role is contributing to the MOHP in Canada.
You will be mainly accountable for:


  • Developing budgetary and firm cost estimates for large induction motor projects, providing the appropriate level of detail to support sales strategy and customer investment decisions.

  • Preparing and consolidating technical and commercial tender documentation, including motor selection, pricing, commercial terms, and financial evaluations (e.g., total price sheets, cash-flow analyses).

  • Interpreting customer specifications (power rating, voltage, duty cycle, environmental conditions, applicable standards) and selecting or configuring technically compliant large induction motor solutions using engineering tools and product expertise.

  • Producing technically compliant and commercially competitive bids, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, internal standards, cost targets, and delivery schedules.

  • Coordinating closely with sales, engineering, and other internal stakeholders, and engaging directly with customers when required to clarify technical or commercial aspects of the tender.

  • Ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality inputs for bids, estimates, and quotations in accordance with planning requirements and established quality procedures.

Qualifications for the role

  • You are highly skilled in tendering and bid preparation, with hands-on experience working with RFQs, technical specifications, pricing, and commercial documentation in the large industrial motors and rotating equipment market.

  • You have 5+ years of experience in tendering, bidding, or commercial proposal management, preferably within the heavy electrical or industrial equipment sector.

  • Proficient in ERP systems, CRM tools, and MS Office, including Salesforce, with strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines.

  • You demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and analytical skills, with a proactive and commercially focused mindset.
