About the Role:

Join the engineering team that bridges the gap between our security products and our business, sales, finance, and even marketing operations. We build both external customer facing experiences for registration, onboarding, and usage reporting as well as provide internal systems & reports for everything from individual engineering teams to executive leadership. 

You'll be responsible for helping the team collect and manage huge amounts of data, and distilling that data into easily digestible yet powerful and flexible reports that can help guide both the business and the customer to getting the most out of the partnership. We help reduce friction between sales teams and their customers, we provide clarity to finance on license compliance, and we seek out insights that help guide internal stakeholders and executives about product adoption and usage.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, document, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale services.

• Take ownership and be accountable for deliverables.

• Triage system issues and debug by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on service operations.

• Mentor other engineers on web and backend engineers on use of our  feature services.

• Constantly re-evaluate our products to improve architecture, testing coverage, knowledge models, user experience, performance, observability and stability.

• Partner with product teams in understanding their needs, work with PM to document the new requirements, and implement those new features within our feature services

What You'll Need:

• Degree in Computer Science (or commensurate experience in data structures/algorithms/distributed systems).

• The ability to scale backend systems – sharding, partitioning, scaling horizontally are second nature to you.

• The desire to ship code and the love of seeing your bits run in production.

• Solid understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges.

• Team player skills – we embrace collaborating as a team as much as possible.

• A thorough understanding of engineering best practices from appropriate testing paradigms to effective peer code reviews and resilient architecture.

• The ability to thrive in a fast paced, test-driven, collaborative and iterative programming environment.

• The skills to meet your commitments on time and produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.

• And above all, enthusiasm and openness to learning and developing all those skills alongside your team mates

Bonus Points:

• Existing exposure to Go,AWS, Kubernetes, Cassandra, Kafka, OpenSearch.

• Experience working on security products.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $100,000 - $145,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
