ABOUT YOUR ROLE 

The Auditor/Senior Auditor, Internal IT Audit performs internal audit engagements to assess information technology governance, risk management practices, business processes, and controls. In addition to traditional audit assurance engagements, projects also include advisory engagements in support of technology initiatives, risk management practices, third-party service providers, data governance/management processes, project management processes, and investment management processes. 

The responsibilities of the incumbent include executing assurance and advisory engagements, recommending value-added solutions, writing internal audit reports, and carrying out other internal audit activities and projects, as required. 

As an Auditor/Senior Auditor, Internal IT Audit, you will: 

  • Assist in the definition of the scope, identify and assess the governance, key processes, activities, risks, and controls, including those related to information technology risk management, project management, investment management processes, business process audits, financial statement audits, and investment management audits

  • Perform testing and other audit procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of controls and compliance with policies and regulations

  • Document observations and results, issue value-added recommendations by proposing practical and innovative solutions to enhance governance, risk management practices, internal controls, and validate them with the relevant stakeholders

  • Write the internal audit report and present the observations to the relevant stakeholders

  • Establish effective working relationships with owners of key processes and controls

  • Collaborate and share knowledge with other members of the internal audit team, as well as industry peers

  • Support the continuous enhancement of the internal audit program and methodology

  • Perform periodic follow-up activities for outstanding recommendations

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, information technology, or other relevant field

  • Four (4) to eight (8) years of relevant experience in audit, risk consulting, or other information technology consulting role

  • Ability to assess risks and associated control environments in the context of emerging technology trends and business transformations, for example:

    • Cloud computing and management software services 

    • Big data, artificial intelligence, and data-driven decision making 

    • Outsourcing of technology and business support activities, functions, and processes

  • A CISA professional certification

  • Other professional certification in auditing or accounting, such as CIA or CPA, an asset 

  • Experience in risk management, asset management and/or financial services industry an asset 

  • Experience in a consulting or public accounting firm, an asset

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile work environment

  • Ability to assess the control environment considering emerging trends and evolving technology environment (e.g., cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, etc.)

  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Intellectual curiosity

  • Critical thinking

  • Ability to develop effective relationships and provide constructive influence

  • Ability to produce clear, concise, and high-quality reports in English

  • Basic knowledge and experience with data visualization, data analysis tools, or data auditing techniques

  • Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
