You'll perform production support during launch and design and develop specific software subsystems under the supervision of senior engineers and other incident management during outages.

WHAT OUR ASSOCIATE DEVELOPMENT OPERATIONS ENGINEERS ENJOY MOST
- Working with developers, testers, and deployment teams to execute, support, and/or monitor software deployment plans
- Understand, write and/or update basic to moderately complex automated scripts for installation of server software products
- Knowledge and understanding moderately complex hardware and Virtual Machines
- Experience in or knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment
- Working with senior developers and hardware teams to support and monitor updates in infrastructure and OS for applications
- Performing, support, and/or monitor lab installations and upgrades of server software products to ensure quality deployments
- Monitor and support 3rd party software installations and upgrades
- Monitoring systems performance and reliability; daily data processing
- Reviewing and providing recommendations for all external facing user documentation

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Business/systems analysis, and/or business experience: or 0-2 years; Database management systems: or 0-2 years; Experience with coding, testing and design: or 0-2 years; Experience with software development methodologies: 0-2 years
- Education: BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
- Technical skills: Foundational knowledge in automating software deployments using tools such as Puppet, Chef, Python and Ansible; familiarity with automation scripting tools, including but not limited to: SQL, HTML, C++; familiarity with Linus/Unix system administration, networking and troubleshooting; exposure to ticketing and software tools, including but not limited to: Remedy, JIRA, Cherwell, Chalk and Smartsheet
- Abilities: Familiarity with methodical and logical process of rational problem solving; identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance; ability to communicate knowledge of technology (inputs, outputs, and processing flows); familiar with software design patterns and principles; understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC); demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
