Responsabilités:

  • Coordonner les réunions du Conseiller en investissement avec les clients existants et potentiels, et préparer le matériel de présentation requis en temps opportun.
  • Répondre aux diverses demandes de clients, de clients potentiels, et de leurs comptables ou consultants, par téléphone et courriel, telles que :
    • Des instructions pour des contributions, des retraits ou des transferts
    • Des demandes de relevés ou de rapports sur le portefeuille
    • Des questions liées à la fiscalité
    • Des demandes d’ouverture de nouveaux comptes
    • Des questions générales à propos de la firme et de nos services
  • Compléter les documents nécessaires aux ouvertures de compte et coordonner efficacement le processus d’accueil des nouveaux clients.
  • Obtenir la documentation nécessaire à la mise à jour et à la tenue des dossiers clients, conformément aux exigences réglementaires et de la conformité.
  • Communiquer régulièrement avec les gardiens de valeurs et avec les autres départements de la firme, tels que la comptabilité, la négociation ou la conformité, afin d’adresser les demandes des clients.
  • Entretenir une relation de collaboration étroite avec ses pairs en partageant de façon proactive de l’information et des idées pouvant améliorer le fonctionnement de l’équipe.
  • Soutenir et participer dans divers projets, initiatives ou évènements de développement d’affaires.
  • De temps à autre, participer à la formation de nouveaux collègues qui se joignent à l’équipe.
  • Se familiariser avec l’approche de placement de Letko Brosseau et se tenir informé des stratégies d’investissement de la firme.
  • Effectuer diverses tâches administratives de routine.



Éducation et expérience:

  • Diplôme d’études collégiales ou diplôme universitaire de premier cycle, idéalement en administration des affaires ou un domaine connexe
  • Cours sur le commerce des valeurs mobilières au Canada (CCVM®), un atout
  • Minimum de cinq années d’expérience de travail dans le secteur des services financiers
  • Excellente maîtrise de la suite MS Office, ainsi qu’une facilité pour apprendre à utiliser de nouveaux outils informatiques, tels que des logiciels de gestion de portefeuille ou des bases de données « CRM »

Our Investment Services team is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s interaction with our customers. This includes communicating our investment views, as well as processing clients’ instructions and responding to their various requests for information. The team is also in charge of developing relationships with prospective investors.


We are seeking a highly professional individual to assist our Investment Counsellors in maintaining and growing existing client relationships, and to support the team’s business development efforts. Serving a group of private and institutional customers, the Associate will be their primary point of contact for all administrative matters pertaining to their accounts.

As an integral member of the team, the Associate will also actively participate in various initiatives aimed at continuously improving customer satisfaction and engagement.


Main responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the Investment Counsellors’ meetings with existing or prospective clients and prepare all required presentation material in a timely manner.
  • Answer various email and telephone queries from clients and prospective clients, as well as their accountants or consultants, including:
    • Instructions for contributions, withdrawals, or transfers
    • Requests for statements or portfolio reports
    • Tax-related questions
    • Requests for new account openings
    • General questions about the firm and our services
  • Complete account opening documentation and efficiently manage the client onboarding process.
  • Obtain ongoing account documentation from clients and maintain up-to-date client files, as per regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Regularly liaise with custody companies and with other departments of the firm such as accounting, trading or compliance with regards to various client matters.
  • Assist with various business development and marketing efforts, such as proactive prospect outreach support, database management, analytics tracking and client events.
  • Establish a strong collaborative relationship with peers by proactively seeking and sharing useful information.
  • Familiarize yourself with Letko Brosseau’s investment approach and stay abreast of the firm’s strategy.

 

Required profile:

  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree, ideally in business administration or a related field
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC®), an asset
  • Minimum of five years of experience working in the financial services industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ease in learning new IT tools, such as portfolio management systems and client relationship management databases

  • Excellent organization, multitasking and priority management skills
  • Resourcefulness, problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously
