L'analyste financier junior détient ou est en voir d’obtenir sa désignation professionnelle CPA. Il/elle assiste l'équipe de finance locale dans la préparation des rapports mensuels, trimestriels et annuels, conformes aux normes IFRS et/ou USGAAP, destinés aux organismes de réglementation canadiens et à notre siège social. Il/elle est responsable des conciliations pour les réclamations et d’autres comptes de grand livre. Il/elle prépare les écritures de régularisation mensuelles.

Responsabilités :                          

  • Participer au processus de fin de mois, de fin de trimestre et de fin d’exercice.
  • Effectuer des analyses et les conciliations reliées au cycle des réclamations.
  • Préparer la conciliation des réclamations IFRS à USGAAP.
  • Préparer les écritures de régularisation.
  • Préparer différentes conciliations pour divers comptes de GL.
  • Préparer divers rapports financiers internes et externes. Par exemple : rapports du BSIF, rapports provinciaux et rapports de statistique.
  • Participer à la préparation des états financiers, conformément aux normes IFRS et USGAAP.
  • Être le remplaçant de l’autre analyste junior lors des congés.
  • Collaborer avec les vérificateurs externes et internes.
  • Travailler et collaborer à des projets spéciaux.
  • Toutes autres tâches connexes.

                                                                                

Qualifications :                      

  • Diplôme universitaire en comptabilité
  • Détenir un titre professionnel (CPA) ou en voie d'obtention
  • Bilinguisme indispensable (français et anglais). L’anglais est nécessaire, car le candidat sera amené à travailler avec des personnes venant de plusieurs régions (États-Unis ou Toronto).
  • 1 à 2 ans d’expérience dans un poste similaire.
  • Excellente connaissance d’Excel.
  • Connaissance des normes IFRS et USGAAP un atout.               
  • Connaissance de People Soft, de l’assurance-vie ou de la réassurance-vie, un atout.

The junior financial analyst has or is in the process of obtaining their CPA professional designation. He/she assists the local finance team in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, in compliance with IFRS and/or USGAAP standards, intended for Canadian regulators and our headquarters. He/she is responsible for reconciliations for claims and other general ledger accounts. He/she prepares monthly adjusting entries.

Responsibilities:                          

  • Participate in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end process.
  • Prepare analyses and reconciliations for claims cycle.
  • Prepare reconciliation for claims IFRS to USGAAP.
  • Prepare manual journal entries.
  • Prepare reconciliations for miscellaneous GL accounts.
  • Prepare various internal and external financial reports. For example: OSFI reports, Provincial reports, Statistics reports, etc.
  • Participate in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and USGAAP standards.
  • Be the backup for the other Jr Analyst.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors.
  • Work and collaborate on special projects.
  • All other related tasks.

                                                                                

Qualifications:           

  • University degree in accounting.
  • A professional designation (CPA) in progress or completed
  • Bilingualism essential (French and English). English is necessary because the candidate will have to work with people from multiple area (United States, Toronto).
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel.
  • Knowledge of IFRS and USGAAP, an asset.                  
  • Knowledge of People Soft, life insurance or life reinsurance, an asset.

Compensation Range:

$59,850.00 - $74,800.00 Annual

Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
