This Position reports to:

Business controller
 

The Senior Financial Analyst plays a strategic role in analyzing, planning, and managing the company’s financial performance. This position provides in-depth analyses, prepares detailed reports, and supports strategic decision-making. The role requires strong analytical skills, professional rigor, and excellent communication abilities.

This position contributes to ABB Canada’s Electrification division and is based in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

The work model is primarily on-site, with 4 to 5 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial results and management reports.

  • Develop and monitor annual budgets.

  • Prepare financial forecasts and profitability analyses.

  • Identify and assess financial risks.

  • Standard cost management: establish, analyze, and adjust standard costs.

  • Cost calculation process optimization: collaborate with production and accounting teams to improve cost accuracy.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to management.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory standards.

  • Develop financial models and perform benchmarking analyses.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Present financial results to stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and participate in cross-functional projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Significant experience in financial analysis (5+ years).

  • Proficiency with office tools and financial software (Excel).

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Critical thinking and attention to detail.

  • Fluency in French and English. English is required to communicate with clients outside of Quebec.
