Come and be part of our talented and growing team, we are currently looking for Analyst, Financial Reporting, to join the finance team, reporting to the manager, financial reporting.

The successful candidate will be required to support and process various aspects in the day to day managing of the accounting team which handles the treatment of various types of transactions.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  • Completion of reconciliation, accounting and reporting activities
  • Participation in quarterly and annual Financial Statements and Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A);
  • Involvement in monthly close;
  • Preparation of manual journal entries;
  • Daily review of trial balance for unusual activity;
  • Completion of monthly reconciliations;
  • Ensure compliance with Fairstone processes and internal policies; document procedures and processes
  • Involvement in operational and financial reporting audits and controls;
  • Contributing in activities related to process improvement and automation;
  • Partaking in other ad hoc projects as required.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • University degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CPA certification would be considered an asset
  • At least 6 months relevant experience in accounting
  • Experience working at a large financial institution and a multinational corporation.
  • Accounting and finance knowledge, Ability to work independently meet multiple deadlines
