The property and casualty insurance sector’s Digital and Omnichannel Performance Department provides a comprehensive view and in-depth understanding of the performance of digital channels and omnichannel journeys. It develops and operates a web and an omnichannel data ecosystem, and it supports the various business sectors and squads. It’s an expert team that monitors, analyzes and interprets the performance of digital solutions and omnichannel journeys of members and clients. It acts as the lead for KPIs and targets, and it proactively assists and influences contributors to achieve growth and client experience goals as well as carry out the digital transformation as per internal and external best practices. As Digital and Omnichannel Performance Advisor, you’re part of a multidisciplinary team of data experts and business solution specialists. You create and produce reports and dashboards focused on business performance, digital activities and omnichannel shifts. You define the data ecosystem, automate reports, set standards, track performance and reliability, and work with various contributors to make certain Desjardins’s information security and confidentiality standards are followed. What’s more, your expertise helps you provide technical coaching as well as validate and optimize your colleagues’ Power BI reports. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Work with contributors to understand data needs, define functional requirements and propose tailored solutions

  • Design, develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and support decision-making

  • Create efficient, optimized data models in Power BI in compliance with data modelling and governance best practices

  • Implement automated flows for data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) using Power Query, Power Automate or other tools

  • Perform quality control, verify data accuracy and solve data integrity issues

  • Draft user guides and procedures, and support and train end users to promote the adoption of Power BI tools

  • Provide users with technical support, resolve incidents related to Power BI reports, and make sure solutions run smoothly

  • Manage permissions to access reports, and protect the confidentiality of data in accordance with company policies

  • Stay on top of new Power BI features, and propose continuous improvements to existing solutions

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, requiring excellent organizational skills

  • Ideally, Power BI certification (Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate)

  • Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec

  • Intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients

  • Proficiency with techniques for gathering business needs and translating them into effective visual solutions

  • Proficiency creating interactive reports and dashboards with Power BI

  • Proficiency with ETL tools, relational databases and DAX and Power Query languages
