About the roleEverflow is seeking an AI Platform Manager to own the deployment, configuration, and governance of our cutting-edge Gemini Enterprise instance on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is a strategic enablement role that serves as the internal subject matter expert (SME) for the platform, ensuring it is secure, compliant, and accessible for our internal teams.
You will focus on the what and the how of platform operations—managing access, controlling costs, defining internal usage policies, and translating user needs into clear technical requirements for our dedicated Engineering team.
What you'll doPlatform Ownership & Administration- Setup & Configuration: Lead the initial setup, environment configuration (e.g., development, staging, production), and ongoing administrative management of the Gemini Enterprise platform within Everflow's GCP environment.
- Security & Governance: Manage user access and permissions (IAM), enforce data security and residency policies, and ensure the platform adheres to all internal security and compliance standards.
- Usage & Cost Management: Monitor platform utilization, track usage against organizational budgets, and define strategies to optimize compute and API costs.
- Troubleshooting: Serve as the first line of defense for platform-level issues, quickly diagnosing configuration problems and escalating product-specific bugs to the GCP support team.
- Stakeholder Partnership: Act as the liaison between the Gemini platform and internal teams (Product, Customer Success, HR, etc.) to identify and document high-value use cases for generative AI.
- Connector Definition: Define the necessary data connectors, external API integrations, and internal data sources required to empower successful AI agents (RAG architecture), translating these needs into precise specifications for the Engineering team.
- Internal Enablement: Develop and maintain clear internal documentation, run training sessions, and serve as the go-to expert to promote effective and responsible use of the Gemini platform across the organization.
- Roadmap Advocacy: Maintain a close relationship with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) account team, staying ahead of the Gemini Enterprise roadmap and articulating Everflow’s feature requests and long-term needs.
- Support Management: Manage the relationship with GCP support for all platform-level issues and feature requests, ensuring timely resolution and communication back to internal stakeholders.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a Technical Administrator, Cloud Operations, or Platform Management role, ideally focused on enterprise SaaS or cloud-native applications.
- Cloud Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) administration, specifically configuring services, managing IAM, and understanding the core concepts of the Vertex AI ecosystem.
- Platform Administration: Proven ability to manage a complex enterprise software platform, including configuration, security settings, and usage controls.
- Communication & Analysis: Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to translate vague business needs into precise, technical requirements for engineering teams.
- Technology Fluency: A solid conceptual understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering principles, and the role of data connectors/APIs in building AI agents.
- Direct administrative experience with Gemini Enterprise, Vertex AI, or another LLM-as-a-Service offering.
- Experience with ticketing systems and bug reporting for a major cloud vendor.
- Familiarity with data governance and security practices in a regulated environment.
Base Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 CAD
