Architect and develop AI-powered systems, create knowledge graphs, implement data pipelines, and enhance language parsing capabilities.
This is a senior-level, hands-on engineering role for a builder who will architect, develop, and own the AI-powered systems that underpin digital experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating core knowledge graphs and advanced data pipelines that will connect disparate content and data sources. This is a unique opportunity to build a strategic asset building and refining a knowledge graph from source code and developing foundational language parsing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and build foundational knowledge graphs to represent relationships between entities in content and data.
- Design and implement data pipelines to ingest, parse, and enrich structured and unstructured content (e.g., articles, metadata) into the knowledge graph
- Develop and enhance the process of converting Abstract Syntax Trees (AST) from various programming languages into a NetworkX and Neo4j knowledge graph.
- Design and implement a hierarchical graph structure, ensuring that code entities are correctly scoped and linked.
- Refactor and maintain the language parsing engine using Tree-sitter, creating modular, language-specific parsers (Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C#).
- Creating, structuring and managing backend data entities (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Pydantic, etc.).
- Develop and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications, integrating various Large Language Models (LLMs) and vector databases to enhance contextual understanding and response generation.
- Develop frameworks to quantify the efficacy of agentic solutions and generated responses.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering with a thorough understanding of CS fundamentals and theory relevant to application development
- Strong proficiency in Python and solid experience with data pipelines and API development.
- Advanced skills with Tree-sitter or similar technologies for code parsing.
- Great understanding of programming logic, language syntax, paradigms across a range of languages.
- Experience in language parsing and interpreter construction.
- Analytical problem-solving skills for debugging data pipelines and graph issues.
- Knowledge of graph database systems, libraries and query languages.
- Demonstrated experience with various vector databases (e.g., Qdrant, Weaviate, Chroma) for efficient similarity search and information retrieval.
- Hands-on experience in developing agentic solutions and optimizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). applications.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with various database systems (relational and NoSQL).
- Strong knowledge of all tiers used in modern architecture (front-end, mid-tier, RESTful web services, messaging, data tier).
