The Guidance and Support Strategy Administrative Department’s mandate is to improve coordination of the Risk Management Executive Division's work with the first line of defence and drive innovation in tools, information analytics and data for the Non-Financial Risks, Chief Risk Officer, Technology and Cyber Risk Division . As a non-financial risk data valorization advisor, you help develop and use methods and tools to collect, consolidate, model and present material and immaterial information to establish governance, support decision-making and give decision-makers a comprehensive view of the activity in question. You provide specialist expertise for practitioners on matters and projects involving non-financial risk management and innovative strategic initiatives. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth knowledge of your specialty area. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to: 

  • Design, implement and update reports and dashboards in Power BI, Jira (Structure and All-in-One Report) and Excel.

  • Identify and analyze significant issues, diagnose their causes and make recommendations to contributors.

  • Design and maintain one or more data marts.

  • Review, analyze and manipulate data in accordance with Desjardins Group's systems and security practices.

  • Develop automated update rules using Power Automate (Microsoft Flow)

  • Establish working relationships with various contributors, including business and IT teams

  • Contribute to innovative initiatives and identify opportunities to improve data valorization practices in accordance with Desjardins Group's data governance framework

  • Implement development and governance best practices in line with changing industry and Desjardins standards

  • Support users and serve as a specialist advisor to improve processes and efficiency by automating and the selection and deployment of data management tools

What you bring to the table  

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field  

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience  

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered  

  • Knowledge of French is required

  • Proficiency with Power BI

  • Knowledge of Power Automate 

  • Knowledge of Jira (AIO add-ons, Structure, Tempo)

  • Expertise in SQL and DAX

  • Expertise with Excel
