The Accounting Manager will oversee general accounting operations, manage accounts payable/receivable, interact with external services, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Description:
- The Fuse Accounting Manager will report to the Fuse Head of Finance and will be responsible for general accounting and financial operations. This position will be the first internal accounting hire at Fuse and will have broad-based responsibilities to put foundational, scalable, pathways and systems in place. The position will require cross functional interaction with all parts of G&A (HR, Legal, Finance), and interaction with the technical organization on accounting and operational topics.
Core Responsibilities:
- Accurate recording and reporting of accounting transactions. Interaction with current external accounting services firms in both the U.S. and Canada. This includes guiding, reviewing and reconciling their transactional inputs and reporting.
- Structure and maintain the Company’s chart of accounts to reflect the needs of Fuse’s business.
- Consolidate multiple business units into one set of financial statements.
- Report on financial statements and key accounting information to both external parties and internal functions.
- Management of accounts payable and accounts receivable including bills, invoices, vendor payments and customer collections.
- Execute various forms of transactions in the Company’s banking and payments systems and be part of the input and approval chain for day-to-day cash management and transactions.
- In conjunction with finance and business operations, properly set up and execute procurement transactions (BOM, etc.) for R&D, manufacturing, facilities and other major expenditures; and monitor their ongoing fulfillment.
- Interact with FP&A to provide key reporting inputs and outputs.
- Execute various statutory, fiduciary, regulatory reporting and application requirements to Federal, state, and local agencies/authorities where required.
- Develop familiarity with Fuse’s hardware in order to translate spend into accounting standards.
What We Require:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- CPA is a plus.
- Minimum 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience; experiences can include Big 4 CPA experience and/or operational accounting inside an organization.
- In addition to general ledger, chart of accounts and financial statements background, experience in procurement, fixed assets, accounts payable and accounts receivable a plus.
- Manufacturing, cost accounting a plus.
- Foundational experience with ERP systems (structure, data entry, reporting).
- Solid spreadsheet skills.
- Online banking experience is a plus.
- Quickbooks Online familiarity is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to travel and work extended hours/weekends as needed.
