***This position is for an Accounting Manager based in our downtown Vancouver offices***

About the role

You are a financial accounting authority with management experience. You have strong performance management and coaching experience, and the ability to be adaptable. You will be responsible for leading all aspects of the month, quarterly, and year-end closes for a sizeable portfolio, and will have a team of professionals reporting to you. You will also take on exciting projects and initiatives to continuously improve processes and procedures.  This is an opportunity to leverage your expertise to help us lead our industry into the future.

• You will be a trusted member of the Accounting Management team and a go-to member of staff.

What you bring

• 7 years of experience in Financial Accounting in roles growing in responsibility - preference will be given to those with commercial real estate experience

• 3 years minimum experience managing a team of Accounting professionals of 3 or more

• Strong leadership and mentor abilities

• A self-starter who can take ownership and initiative

• Advanced level of Excel skills

• Working knowledge of using Yardi software

• CPA Designation and a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a relevant field

• Knowledge of Generally Applied Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred

• Experience at a Public company is an asset

• Ability to communicate in French would be a strong asset

Approximate Salary Range for Role: $105,000.00 to $120,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
