Job Description

Ubisoft, a world leader in the video game and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a full-time accountant for its Finance department. As part of the accounting team, this position is responsible for preparing financial statements for the Canadian studios.  The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task, including analyzing balance sheet and income statement items, participating in special projects, prioritizing, working effectively under tight deadlines, and delivering a high level of service in a fast-paced, fast-paced work environment. The position is based at the Ubisoft Montreal studio and reports directly to the Chief Accountant.

 

What you'll do:

  • Record journal entries, expense reclassifications and accruals as required.
  • Perform analyses and account reconciliations on balance sheets and income statements.
  • Participate in the month-end closing process.
  • Produce monthly, half-yearly and annual financial statements and ad hoc financial reports.
  • Participate in head office monthly reporting (Hyperion Financial Management).
  • Interco billing and reconciliation between local and parent company tools.
  • Participate in the preparation of half-yearly and annual audit documents.
  • Participate in all other tasks/projects assigned by management.
  • Handle special projects as required.

Qualifications

What you'll bring to the team:

  • Degree/certificate(s) in accounting or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting concepts.
  • Practical experience of large-scale financial systems (Peoplesoft, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience in a multi-company environment.
  • Knowledge of Hyperion (HFM) - an asset.
  • Team spirit and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines on time.
  • Experience of working with international parties and remote teams.
  • Fluent in French.
