Job Description

In collaboration with the purchasing team, the account manager is responsible for supporting buying scrap metal products from representatives on the road. It is also responsible for developing and maintaining outstanding business relationships with new and existing customers.

This position requires a dynamic individual with a spirit of initiative and the ability to work closely with all staff and departments of the company, as well as with customers and suppliers.

  • Manage the current accounts of representatives on the road;
  • Add prices, validate products, analyze receipts, do formula calculations for pricing agreements;
  • Assist in the creation of P&L and ensure the monitoring of the profitability of accounts
  • Provide customer service, answer questions, handle complaints, and establish commerce;
  • Assist in coordinating deliveries with suppliers and assist dispatchers for the delivery and collection of materials, equipment and containers, with the aim of ensure that the customer receives good service;
  • Keep abreast of the efforts of the competition in relation to our accounts. Supporting representative in the creation of strategies and actions to prevent account loss;
  • Coordinate with the administrative staff and the sales team to ensure a smooth accurate and timely documentation of all purchase transactions;
  • Create and track purchase orders from the CRM;
  • Keeping customer information up to date in our CRM;

Qualifications

To join our team:

  • You have 3+ years of sales and/or key account management experience
  • You have a degree in business administration or related field
  • You have previous experience within scrap metal industry, an asset
  • You have proven experience in establishing and nurturing relationships 
  • You have outstanding communication skills; well-organized, team-oriented, and attentive to detail
