Job Summary

The corrugated Account Manager is responsible for new business development, the sale of packaging materials and services by developing and maintaining customer contacts within an assigned territory or area of responsibility. Products would include corrugated, films, foam, labels, poly, and/or misc. packaging materials.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Services and maintains positive relationships with current customer base

  • Grows product offerings and new programs

  • Develops and maintains strategic plans for customers and prospects

  • Understands and performs cost savings analysis for customers

  • Generates new sales to new and existing customers

  • Problem solving and solution generating

  • Qualify customers’ creditworthiness

  • Monitors sales market in assigned region or responsibility

  • Prepares various reports as required

  • Accounts receivable management

  • Stay up to date on product knowledge and industry innovations

  • Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Preferred bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related area

  • Minimum of two years in the packaging industry

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook and other software for business applications

  • Preferred sales background, but not required

  • Preferred experience and knowledge of films, corrugated, foam, poly, and/or labels.

  • Preferred experience and knowledge on UFP’s organization, culture, and product lines

Compensation & Benefit Information
Salary Pay Range:  $50,000 - $75,000 annually dependent on experience*
                *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living  

 

Bonus/Incentive Pay
The percentage of incentive compensation that may be earned varies based on the customer account classification and is calculated based on collected gross profit.
