The Role

We are seeking a high-performing Account Executive, Strategic Accounts / Regional Chains, to drive platform adoption across multi-unit restaurant groups and flagship brands across New York City and the Northeast. In this role, you will manage full-cycle sales engagements—initiating executive relationships with owners and C-suite leadership, navigating complex multi-stakeholder deal structures, and ensuring seamless deployment across all contracted locations.


Designed for an established sales professional with existing operator networks, this position provides the opportunity to capitalize on current relationships from day one, accelerate pipeline conversion, and co-architect Sauce’s strategic accounts go-to-market strategy alongside our Head of Sales. This position features an unconstrained geographic footprint without rigid territory or field sales restrictions—allowing you to target high-value restaurant accounts wherever they operate.


What You’ll Own

  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of high-volume multi-unit restaurant groups and premier regional brands across NYC and the Northeast.

  • Engage and negotiate directly with key executive decision-makers, including Owners, CEOs, CFOs, VPs of Operations, and Heads of Digital/Off-Premise

  • Leverage existing hospitality network and executive relationships to generate immediate sales velocity and signed contracts

  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles involving pilot programs, multi-location rollouts, and legal/procurement reviews

  • Structure and creativly negotiate win-win commercial terms aligned with unit economics while maintaining strong margin discipline and overcoming deal friction

  • Orchestrate seamless handoffs from sales to onboarding/implementation teams to ensure operational readiness and target go-live execution

  • Drive post-launch account growth through location expansions and upselling Sauce Direct into BYOC groups

  • Represent Sauce at major industry trade shows and conferences while staying abreast of emerging hospitality tech ecosystem trends

What You Bring

  • 5+ years closing new business in restaurant technology, delivery or hospitality, including multi-unit groups (10+ locations a strong plus)

  • You closed at least 50 deals of 5+ locations yourself over the years

  • Established relationships with multi-unit owners and executives in NYC that you can leverage immediately

  • A track record of selling to Owners, CEOs and C-suite decision-makers

  • Experience navigating complex 1–6 month sales cycles with multiple stakeholders

  • Keen negotiation skills and creative problem-solving that move long deals forward without giving away margin

  • A proven record planning and overseeing a multi-location sales-to-onboarding transition that led to a successful rollout

  • Fluency in third-party delivery and online ordering economics

  • Active in the industry: you attend trade shows and follow restaurant and restaurant-tech trends

  • Present in the market: in office / on-the-field (hybrid), with travel up to 30% across the NYC and the Northeast.

  • Prior experience at a delivery marketplace (Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub) or restaurant POS / tech company (Toast, Square, CloverOpenTable or similar)
