Lead technical direction of Ground News web properties to drive subscriber conversion. Own architecture, experimentation infrastructure, migrations (marketing-tech), performance, accessibility, SEO, Core Web Vitals, safe rollout practices, and enable non-engineers to run experiments without engineering support.

Own and build Ground News’s Google performance marketing engine from scratch across Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, and YouTube. Scale spend while maintaining CAC and subscriber payback, develop campaign architecture and testing frameworks, improve landing pages, establish attribution and measurement, and partner with agencies on creative. The role also experiments with adjacent paid channels, collaborates with product, engineering, and analytics, and reports performance clearly.

Build and operate Ground News’s data platform, including warehouse integrations, scalable dimensional models, analytical layers, and KPI infrastructure. Own ingestion pipelines, data quality, monitoring, incident response, infrastructure as code, and deployment workflows across AWS and GCP. Partner with analysts, ML engineers, and product stakeholders to create reliable, reusable data models and ensure accurate, observable, cost-effective data systems.
