Montreal-based software company Workleap has appointed Peter Dougherty as its new CRO, signaling a push into its next phase of growth.

In an announcement on its website, Workleap said Dougherty will align its global sales, marketing and customer success teams to support international expansion across the Workleap Platform, an AI-powered HR solution, and ShareGate, the company’s Microsoft 365 migration and governance product.

Dougherty brings more than 15 years of experience scaling SaaS organizations worldwide. Most recently, he served as president of Spreedly, where he oversaw a go-to-market reset and strengthened the company’s executive leadership and operational structure. Prior to that, he spent a decade at Lightspeed Commerce, helping scale the company from an early-stage startup into a publicly traded SaaS leader, while managing $350 million in annual revenue and leading more than 1,000 employees.

Commenting on his appointment, Dougherty said in a statement, “Joining Workleap at this stage is a unique opportunity ... My focus is on aligning our revenue teams and sharpening how we go to market, so we can scale in a way that's intentional and sustainable while preserving what makes Workleap special.”
