A Strategic Role at the Heart of Logistics

Job Overview:The System Administrator will be responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and networks. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, and skills in cybersecurity to protect our systems and data from potential threats.Key Responsibilities:System Administration:
  • Manage and maintain servers, workstations, and network infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and application software.
  • Monitor system performance, perform regular maintenance, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Backup and restore data to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Ensure system availability and performance through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
  • Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard the organization’s information assets
  • Respond to and manage security incidents and breaches, coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Keep up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices to continuously improve security posture.
Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, changes, and security measures.
  • Provide training and support to staff on security best practices and system usage.
Collaboration and Support:
  • Work closely with other IT staff to design and implement solutions that meet business needs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users, resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role 2-3 years.
    • Strong experience in cybersecurity practices and technologies.
    • Hands-on experience with system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows) and server management.
    • Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., intrusion detection systems, antivirus software).
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, O365) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
