A Strategic Role at the Heart of Logistics
Job Overview:The System Administrator will be responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and networks. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently, and skills in cybersecurity to protect our systems and data from potential threats.Key Responsibilities:System Administration:- Manage and maintain servers, workstations, and network infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and application software.
- Monitor system performance, perform regular maintenance, and troubleshoot issues.
- Backup and restore data to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Ensure system availability and performance through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
- Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard the organization’s information assets
- Respond to and manage security incidents and breaches, coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Keep up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices to continuously improve security posture.
- Ensure systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, changes, and security measures.
- Provide training and support to staff on security best practices and system usage.
- Work closely with other IT staff to design and implement solutions that meet business needs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users, resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects and initiatives.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role 2-3 years.
- Strong experience in cybersecurity practices and technologies.
- Hands-on experience with system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in operating systems (Windows) and server management.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., intrusion detection systems, antivirus software).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, O365) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
