POSITION OVERVIEW

 

The Senior Advisor, IT Performance Office plays a pivotal role in driving the operational performance of the IT department. This position ensures that the execution of technological strategies is aligned with business objectives and operational realities. The advisor acts as a key liaison between strategic planning and operational delivery, fostering collaboration across IT teams and stakeholders.

 

They will assume the following responsibilities for the IT team:

 

  • Act as a single point of contact to increase collaboration and communication with stakeholders on performance and strategic planning.

  • Provide IT management with performance indicators necessary for operational decisions.

  • Assist the IT management in ensuring alignment between the strategic planning and the operational execution.

 

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

 

  • Act as a single point of contact to increase collaboration and communication with stakeholders on performance and strategic planning.

  • Provide IT management with performance indicators necessary for operational decisions.

  • Assist the IT management in ensuring alignment between the strategic planning and the operational execution.

  • Assist in defining performance indicators, implementing tools to track them, facilitating the teams’ understanding of them and identifying sources of deviation leading to non-performance.

  • Act as a support and advisor for managing and optimizing IT business processes, guide the teams in the various phases of the initiatives and make the necessary decisions to ensure that the identified benefits are achieved.

  • Assist in implementing a continuous process improvement framework within IT and coordinate efforts with IT and other stakeholders to bring about improvement.

  • Support the team by providing clear and relevant information and accurate retrospective and prospective analyses and reports in a timely manner and assuming responsibility for various projects.

  • Provide advice to the IT management team in order to implement, maintain and adapt the IT strategy for permanent staff, consultants and external partners.

  • Work closely with the Human Resources and Procurement teams to plan the retention, recruitment and development of high-value talent and skills.

  

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or other relevant program

  • At least 10 years of experience in an IT-related function or other equivalent combination of education and professional experience

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and French

  • Responsive and agile approach to managing changing priorities

  • A mindset toward continuous improvement and learning, challenging the status quo and self-improvement

  • Ability to maintain relationships with the IT, HR, Procurement and Finance management teams

  • Excellent sense of urgency in anticipating or preventing impacts on business operations
