We are a division of IGG (I Got Games), a global interactive digital entertainment company specializing in the development and publishing of mobile games. The store, branded as POP JOY, is a rising retail venture by Fuzhou Tianlong Digital Technology, a subsidiary 100% owned and controlled by IGG Group. POP JOY is our in-house designer toy brand through which we hope to establish our retail presence. It leverages global resources and cutting-edge digital entertainment to lead a new wave of Gen Z consumption. The brand seamlessly blends trend culture, social interaction, and immersive experiences, connecting offline retail spaces with dynamic online communities. Focused on delivering in-demand collectibles and socially engaging environments, POP JOY aims to create a cultural playground where young consumers can truly feel a sense of belonging.

Position: Regional Operations Manager(Trendy Toy)
Reports to: Head Office Operations Team

Hiring Level: Experienced 

Contract Type: Permanent with 3-month probation

Office Location: 5 East 8th Ave, Vancouver, BC V5T 1R6

Workplace: on-site in store/ at office (Vancouver or Ontario preferred)

Salary Range: CAD $85,000 – $130,000 annually, commensurate with local experience

Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Regional Operations Manager to lead and oversee the launch and ongoing operations of our retail expansion in Canada. This role will be responsible for the full lifecycle of store setup and operations, from site selection to daily management, primarily in British Columbia and potentially Ontario. You will collaborate closely with our international head office and local partners to drive operational excellence and brand growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of our Canadian retail presence, including hiring and managing local store teams and regional operations staff.
  • Oversee the full process of store openings (site selection, lease negotiation support, build-out coordination, and grand openings).
  • Set and manage sales targets, monitor profit margins, and control operational costs across multiple locations.
  • Analyze operational data and business performance to identify issues, propose improvements, and drive continuous growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to plan localized campaigns and promotional activities aligned with market trends.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations for the local operations and store teams.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, workplace safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Other related tasks as assigned;

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-store retail operations management (preferably in new retail or lifestyle/consumer brands).
  • Proven experience managing teams across multiple locations and overseeing projects with annual sales of CAD $10M or more.
  • Strong operational and strategic thinking, with hands-on problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Solid data analysis and business insight skills.
  • Strong understanding of retail performance metrics, risk management, and staff development.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada without any sponsorship from employer.

Language Requirements:

  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Mandarin language skills are considered an asset due to frequent communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, including the head office operations team.
