The Canada Product team is currently looking for a Product Specialist to join our office in Toronto. The team serves as a lean and strategically critical function within Capital Group’s Canadian business, responsible for shaping and executing product strategy while supporting the full product lifecycle. The team operates at the intersection of investment, distribution, and marketing, translating global product priorities into solutions tailored to the Canadian market and client base. Its mandate spans product development, enhancement, and ongoing management, with a strong emphasis on data-driven analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and maintaining consistency across product messaging, pricing, and positioning. Reflecting the scale and growth trajectory of the Canadian platform, the team is intentionally structured to be versatile, with individuals expected to operate across both strategic and executional responsibilities.

As a Product Specialist you will handle day-to-day tasks independently and partner with senior team members on more complex projects, analyses and tasks. You will support an existing product line (s) by maintaining product information, responding to product inquiries, and participating in the development and rollout of new strategies.
You will support more senior staff managing one or more product lines by:
Serving as a resource to various internal partners (e.g., sales, marketing) regarding product inquiries, portfolio construction and data requests. Considers associate/client perspective, as well as product construction and pricing, operational policies, service model and sales and marketing approach, to identify issues, options, and/or desired outcomes.
Guiding business partners through issues of low to moderate complexity and advises on standard practices, product features or data validation; escalates issues or concerns to more senior associates and managers, as appropriate.
Identifying trends in issues/questions received, and makes recommendations to address them (e.g., training, system enhancements).
Ensuring product information is accurately represented in training documents, literature (e.g., sales material, regulatory documents), and online. Updates relevant materials / platforms to reflect enhancements and changes.
To both internal and external constituents, ensuring the timely flow of results data at month / quarter / year end to ensure deadlines are met.
Maintaining product information in Request for Proposal responses and ensures data consistency for various third-party databases.
Periodically auditing existing material for data accuracy and consistency of message for target audience
Supporting Product Managers in the creation, analysis and development of product plans, business cases and performance reports. Gathers data used to assess key product performance metrics against goals and objectives; assists in the creation of management reports
Monitoring product adoption against business case goals as well as competitors’ offerings by reporting on and identifying trends to management.
Participating in projects impacting a product line. Provides input to project leads during project design and development phases. Provides input on training and rollout plans.
Performing additional responsibilities as assigned.

You have relevant industry experience, ideally with minimum 3 years in investment-related roles and possess in-depth knowledge of investment strategies across asset classes and must have experience in the Canadian institutional and/or retail market
You are credible and influential, possessing a deep understanding of client needs and how to impact them through analysis and thought leadership
You have strong communication and presentation skills, able to deliver persuasive and concise messages to key stakeholders and fellow associates
You are collaborative, partnering seamlessly with teams across Capital Group, and externally, to effectively achieve business objectives
You stay up to date on industry trends, best practices and possess the ability to apply these insights to various initiatives the Canadian product team is focusing on
You hold a bachelor’s degree; Advanced degree or industry accreditations such as CFA Charter holder would be beneficial
You must have strong working knowledge of eVestment and Morningstar Direct

Canada Base Salary Range: $88,283.00 - $141,253.00
Capital offers a competitive compensation package that includes eligibility for two bonus programs and a contribution to the group retirement plan (subject to requirements of each plan).
