About the role

We’re looking for a Claims Consultant, Trade Credit Insurance, to join our growing team!   

As a Trade Credit Insurance Claims Consultant, you will be part of a top-performing Specialty Lines claims team. Reporting to the Claims Manager, Surety and Trade Credit Insurance, Quebec, you will be responsible for managing and investigating trade credit insurance claims. The team will depend on your expertise to ensure thoroughness in your file analysis, particularly with regard to coverage, liability, quantum and collection activities.

What you’ll do here:

  • Investigate, analyze and establish quantum for the settlement of claims made under trade credit insurance policies.
  • Manage all administrative aspects of claim files.
  • Document and communicate all claims activity in a timely and effective manner to support the outcome of the claim file.
  • Provide regular reporting to management.
  • Coordinate the subrogation process in claim files.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Underwriting team.
  • Perform other duties as required.

What you bring to the table:

  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
  • Valid Claims Adjuster certification for Commercial Lines Damage Insurance as issued by the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (or in the process of obtaining it).
  • Solid business background.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Prior trade credit insurance claims experience, an asset.
  • Professionalism.
  • Flexibility.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Bilingualism (French / English) – Need to process claims files from English-speaking clients on a regular basis.
